Snow clearing this winter.
Long range weather forecasters warn about the worst winter in 60 years.
Let’s hope they are wrong, but if it will materialize you should get yourself prepared.
Snow clearing equipment like snow shovels, snow pushers, a bag of salt or grit. It will all help to keep your pathways clear and prevent lots of injuries for yourself or a passerby.
Unlike most of European countries UK law doesn’t oblige you to clear snow off the path near your house, but shouldn’t we all do our bit to keep pathways near our homes clear? As much as the outside of our property legally is not our responsiblity, it is a different story when it comes to internal pathways.
Under the Occupiers Liability Act 1984, householders do have a duty towards visitors, so if a postman or delivery man slips and injures himself on your drive or garden path then you most certainly can be sued.
Having aforementioned in mind if you won’t be able to keep up with the weather then have my number at hand. Snow clearance – click here
Have fun this winter and keep that snow away!

Nov 17, 2013 | Garden maintenance, News, Tidy up
This weekend’s weather has been on my side and I took advantage of it without hesitation.
Two days work doing garden tidy up in a terraced house in central Reading has been completed today.
Unfortunately due to time of year I couldn’t really do much about the lawn.
Too late for turfing, too late for seeding too.
I am very pleased the way that very much overgrown conifer turned out.
Customer’s very happy !

Leaf clearance season is still ongoing.
This years warmer autumn contributed to a later leaf fall, but inevitably it’s with us and will be for few more weeks. Possibly until the end of November.
Do you know a term “Sisyphean labours” ? It is very true in relation to leaf clearance. Comes spring and we look forward to thick and lush foliage on our trees and shrubs, but that will have to come down sooner or later. Nevertheless leaf clearance is an annual chore. Boring but has to be done, especially if there is a lawn in your garden and you want it in good shape, or you simply care for your safety. ( slips )
You might think that leaving leaves in your borders will help protect your precious plants from frost, but actually by doing so you are inviting slugs to set up home. They do not hibernate, instead they breed awaiting spring when they come out and munch on your seedlings and tender new growth. Some perennials look simply untidy if not cut down and leaving dead leaves on top of them will deprive these plants of light in spring and affect their growth.
Depending on weather leaf fall can be fun as well !
– dry weather results in crisp and crunchy leaves therefore possibly a lot of fun for your little ones.
– wet weather on the other hand ( here’s UK for you ) results in slimy and slippery leaves that create more danger than fun.
If it ain’t pleasure for you to keep your beds, lawns and patios cleared of leaves then book me for the job.
With proper equipment I will clear your garden in no time !

After moving to a house that we bought recently, we did not realise initially how much work was needed in both front and the back garden. The border were full with spiky bushes and brambles, that were about 2 meter wide. Nothing could have been done till this was removed and reshaped. Good to find Paul, who understood our requirement and completed to good standard. Now I need new plantation and design for my garden, which I am quite confident that Paul can deliver… Thanks

Despite the weather I have been asked to take another garden under my wings.
It is only a rented property therefore no major makeovers are required, just a bit of garden maintenance.
Here it is
I have to stress that borders and whole lawn are infested with bind weed !! It is going to be tough !
I did just over 3 hours today, there is still lots to be done but I already managed to get a good review !!!

Our little jungle had the local cats pretending to be tigers in the long grass but Paul managed to address this in a jiffy! He is punctual and professional- a pleasure to have around I can’t recommend him enough!
