Landscaping back garden. New patio area in a garden in Calcot
Not beating about the bush let’s see what the patio area looked like before and after.
And some still photos of the same area..
Our job was to remove old decking, clear out old patio, and gravel. Install new gully and channel drains including all the connections needed.
The next stage planned for this garden by the owners is to lay artificial grass – someone else’s job as we don’t do it.
Due to the above the edges around the new patio have been left as is.
Proud of this quick but so beautifully finished patio pointing job in Reading. We haven’t laid the patio, but were asked to repoint it as whoever did lay it, put just a very weak mortar in joints. However even if that was a stronger mix it wouldn’t solve the issue. Cement / sand mix as a pointing compound is a cheapest option but never a quality one. Mortar cracks and crumbles .. You need a special pointing compound which we used here and use on many other landscaping projects that we do. It is not cheap but long lasting and very effective.
It is not our first job in this garden. In the past we relaid part of the lawn, scarified and reseeded the rest, laid brick edging, created a new flower bed including planting of our choice.
Paul and his colleague did a wonderful job clearing my jungle and making it look like a garden again!
They worked in the freezing cold to make this transformation and I am amazed at what they achieved. So, so grateful, and not a sign that they had needed to take all the cuttings through the house. A really fantastic job.

Landscaping, decking & path removal, new patio laid Paul and Eddie did a fantastic job of our back garden. We had a large area of uneven ground that we needed levelling, an old concrete path to pull up and a large old decking area to remove. All done in super quick time, and a whole new paving area neatly laid. January 2017. Good Job, well done. Paul and his colleague had their work cut out with our very overgrown garden. Turning up promptly at the time they said they would, they cracked on and very soon had cleared the ivy, brambles and nettles that had taken over. They also trimmed two mature and large hedges as well as mature shrubs and gave the patio area a very thorough weed and clean. All the waste was swept up and taken away. Garden Makeover - March 2017 My garden has resemble a wasteland for several years. Paul and Eddie started work on it early on Monday morning and by Saturday afternoon they had transformed it into a lawn, neatly edged with brick paving, with a flower bed at the rear ready for new plants. What a transformation! We recently moved into a property where the hedges had been neglected for years, and were massively overgrown. Front lawn landscaped Paul recently re-landscaped my front lawn. He removed so serious hard to get tree stumps, levelled out the ground, relaid the lawn and finished off by doing some pave edgings for some rose bushes. The quality of his work was really good and he even started the work on the Easter Monday Bank Holiday. I have already recommended him to my brother and will do the same to those who ask who did the work. Excellent work by a polite and friendly chap.

New look - garden landscaped We moved recently and the small garden was very overgrown. Excellent result! I have just had my front lawn returfed and my rear lawn aerated and top dressed by Paul and his team. Hard work and expertise My garden had become quite overgrown and I was looking for a gardening team who have all the powertools, and can take the waste away, and who also know their plants. Paul and team were the only ones I found who could do this and they did a wonderful job.
My paths have been cleaned, stumps ground, borders cleared of weeds and ivy and everything has been pruned.
Paul had some excellent ideas for other things we could do to improve the garden which I am sure I will take him up on very soon.

Tree fell and stump removed Very efficient and tidy work at a good price.
Paul and his colleague attended within the time stated to fell a tree that was beginning to interfere with my nieighbours house. They even grounded out the stump so the ground was levelled off.
All arisings were cleared away to leave the garden clean and tidy.
Job was done so quickly and well that they also picked up some work from my neighbour too.

Garden tidy-up - July 2014 On the hottest day of the year so far, Paul and his team worked non-stop to tidy our front and back gardens, which had been neglected for a while.They did a first-class job and I am very happy with the result. I would highly recommend Tidy Gardens.
