Small garden turfing job in a new-built house in south of Reading
It was a good morning warm up job.
We’ve cleared, rotavated with added quality compost, levelled and laid turf rolls… but hang on …we’ve also watered, tided up afterwards, and gave few words of advise about after-care ๐
Lawn renovation is pretty much possible in any case, but the important thing is – can you wait few months ?
If the answer to the above is no and there is a budget for it then why not call us ?
Two days of work have seen this front lawn totally changed. Edges have been defined, poor sandy soil improved with lots of compost – all that well rotovated and levelled, finally a new turf laid which, will now have the best conditions to show it’s colours. Mowing with such well executed edge will also be a breeze for the owner.
Over two days we have completed this returfing job in Tilehurst / Reading
Returfing around 80m2 but also flattening future lawn areas and creating two flower beds separated with some oak sleepers.
Today we visited this garden again to do some planting. Being a rented property we needed something easy yet still attractive.
Choice has been accepted and Lonicera Baggesen’s gold have been supplied and planted by us. As these grows they will create a low, dense green carpet. No need for lots of hated weeding and very easy to trim too.
Latest news from Calcot ! Another garden there got a brand new lawn ๐
What have we done ?
– Stripped old grass destroyed by builders. Yes they know how best to do it. And they don’t even use a weed killer!
– Added 10m3 of compost. Oh yes we love compost so much. A quick whiff of fresh compost works better and longer than any coffee available in the UK ๐
– Rotovated using a perfectly suitable and powerful machine for it.
– Levelled, rolled and laid new turf.
– Watered !
– Broken up concrete, added soil and converted into another small lawn.
– Of course we’ve tidied up as well
